Making Your Face Mask Using Socks

Can you really make your face mask using socks? With only socks and no sewing in one minute? Yup!

In some places people have been chased by the cops because of not having a mask in this Corona Virus period. Those with kids have had a hard time getting face mask the right size. Plus, it’s getting just too tiring and expensive to buy face masks. Not to mention in areas where others are wondering where to buy masks. I made a discovery; let me share with you how to make your very own.

We’re in a tough season. In a pandemic. It’s our responsibility first, to take care of ourselves, secondly take care of our loved ones and lastly the people around us. Yeah, there are many conspiracies out there but as long as life is being lost, we have a responsibility. That’s why I’m going to show you an easy way. I’m sure you have at least one sock in your wardrobe. If you don’t know what to do for kids, I’m here to show you.

We’ll need:

  • socks
  • chalk or toiler’s chalk
  • thread
  • ruler
  • marker
  • pair of scissors.

Step-by-step process (watch video):

  • Pick one sock. Use a kid’s sock for children.
  • Open up your sock and lay it flat with the heel topside
  • Where the heel is, fold into 2
  • Measure with the tape measure or thread from the tip of the nose to the ear. That confirm thread measurement on the ruler
  • From the fold use the measurement and using chalk mark with a line
  • Cut through the line with the pair of scissors
  • 11/2cm from the cut, on the side with the heel cut through all layers for only 2cm in parallel to the cut.
  • Remember the socks are elastic so they will stretch easily. If they are stiff, cut in a 必利勁
    little more as needed.
  • Cut through the side opposite the heel and open it up.

There you have it! Your very own cheap and quick sock face mask. An affordable mask and kid’s size made easy. You can reuse and wash and
they’re cheap. It will only cost if you have to buy socks.

The tip for today

  • Remember you will reuse this mask later as we do our own home DIYs, as we do sanding, spray painting. So even though the pandemic goes, and I pray that it does soon, we will reuse this again.
  • For durability, you can hem the cut edges to withstand pull and wash.
