DIY Reversible Jeans and Fabric Baskets

I looked at my bedroom dresser, it looked a little lonely and empty. Looking at what I hand at hand, I decided to make reversible DIY jeans and fabric baskets. As I normally share my life hacks and DIY home décor tips, I hope this one is up your alley. It’s is easy and simple. You can even sew by hand or use fabric glue if you don’t have access to a sewing machine.

I’ve never felt so good re-using old jeans. You can use them to organize and decorate various spaces, in different ways. Functional, yet so lovely.

Products used:

  • Jeans cutout re-use old jeans
  • Fabric
  • Tape measure
  • Pair of scissors
  • Seam ripper
  • Thread cutter
  • Pins
  • Clips (optional)
  • Matching thread
  • Needle for jeans
  • Tailors chalk or a marker

In DIY you want to make yourself do less work, so, if you can get away with not opening the already sewn seams or pockets on the jeans, don’t.

You are free to go wild with your choice of fabric. Just make sure you consider adding interface or fusible fleece to light fabric or if you need your end product to be stiff. Depending on your use and style, you can also add trimmings, such us buttons, sequins or ribbons among others, to make them more decorative. You can also make them in different sizes.

These specific ones are reversible because we can use either side as the seams are not showing. That makes them versatile in what space you can use them in and the colours and fabric type for whatever use. I have shared various ways I could u犀利士
