3 easy and quick summer T-shirt restyles with no sewing


Do you wonder what to do with all those t-shirts in your wardrobe that that maybe have a generic style?

Some are oversized but you love the print or for sentimental reasons you don’t want to get rid of the t-shirt? I have three easy ways on how to refashion your t-shirts for the summer. Each will take just 5 minutes. An easy and quick way to revamp your wardrobe by restyle your t-shirts. No skills needed, just a pair of scissors and some enthusiasm.

Someone might ask why cut perfectly good t-shirts? We do this because maybe they’re not your style, not the right fit or you just want to funk it up a bit.

In my case, my husband travels a lot and one of the easiest things to get, at souvenir shops are t-shirts. I love them. I love the print.
I love the idea, the sentiment him thinking of me enough to buy the t-shirt for me. So I find ways of wearing them, I restyle them.

We live in Dubai and it’s quite hot. T-shirts tend to be very restricting and warm. So most of the time I resize them to fit the weather and my style. They end up being sleeveless t-shirts with lower neckline.

For the first try it is always good to try refashion a t-shirt that you don’t mind losing.

The other thing to note is that there are some of the cotton t-shirts that are not as easy to cut through, the nylon ones are easier.

Now we have two options to cut off necklines and make it low front and back or just make the front lower and leave the back high for stability. You can also choose to keep the sleeves.

When cut, the raw edges do not show the jagged edges as they get a roll or curl.

Tip of the day:

The hem is one of the areas that you need to cut off to allow your t-shirt to be more flexible at the hips as it’s one of the
places that is more stable. Especially a cotton t-shirt
